SIMPLE PAST


Use simple past to refer to an action thata ocurred in a especific moment in he past:


Example:          "in 1996, Danield Redfield moved to England "

                        "in 1999 Daniel Redfield auditioned for the role Harry Potter"


To change a regular verb into simple past just add-an ed at the end:

Audition-auditioned

     When a verb ends in -e just add -d: Move-moved
     When a verb ends in consonant + y , change the y for i+ed: study-studied
    When a verb ends in a consonant after a vowel, it doubles the consonant: travel-travelled.

SIMPLE PAST NEGATIVE AND QUESTION

Question estructure:

   Did + pronoum + simple for verb + ?    (I, you, he, she, we, they, it )

Example:

Did + Josh + run + for the park + ?

 Positive answer: Yes, he did

Negative answer: No, he didn`t run for the park
